Qatar Airways out of Myanmar

Qatar Airways has announced it is to cease its four times a week service to Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, from January 9 for 'commercial' reasons, reported Reuters. But travel agents in the military-ruled country claim the flights are usually very full and feel the decision is due to political pressure from western nations after Myanmar clamped down on pro-democracy protests. Qatar Airways launched its Doha-Yangon route in December 2004.

NB: sono molto contento per la decisione, bisogna boicottare il regime oppressivo che soffoca il popolo birmano...BIRMANIA LIBERA!!!

io ci sono stato l'anno scorso con famiglia ed abbiamo cercato di usare tutto quanto non fosse governativo.
Certo a fronte di quello che e' successo quest'anno penso che il boicottaggio sia la soluzione migliore.
